I am smoking beef ribs today! Anyone ever done them on a FATBOY?
Backwoods Fatboy, XL BGE, Large BGE, Weber Kettle, Red Weber, Dacor Stainless Steel Gas, 3 Bbq Guru's

what's the difference between beef spare ribs and short ribs....which are better for smoking?...thnx 8)

I've smoked them on my party.

I think they were beef back ribs (bought at Kroger). They turned out great. It was nice to mix things up a bit by going the beef BBQ route.

My spice rub wasn't anything fancy. I used very little sugar and a lot more chilli, pepper, garlic and onion powder. Finished them with regular BBQ sauce. Yum!
