I have all but quit using this forum due to the aggravation of all the "Win a Backwoods Smoker" entries..........how did we let this happen?

Hey Rich,
Not sure how the forum opens for you, but I get it by category. I can see that there are unread posts, but don't have to open a category if I don't want to. You should be able to read everything else without having to even see the "Win a Backwoods" posts. Maybe different browsers show it differently?

Good question and points of view.

I too also see the forum by topics, so the win a BWS does not hinder my site usage. In fact, I'd like to see more discussion on this site - even outside of BWS (as long as it's posted in appropriate threads). I frequent another BBQ forum because the users get a bit off topic and we get to see personality from everyone - it's fun, esspecially when meeting the others face to face after chatting on line with them.

But when I want/need BWS info, I come here without thinking twice. This is the Backwoods expert forum due to a handful or two of very knowledgable BWS users.

I too find the messages to win a new Backwoods quite tedious. When I sign in I go to the "messages since I last logged in" tab so I don't have to go to every catagory but still see all new posts.
