Party Question

I currently cook on a WSM and am looking to increase my capacity with a unit that is very, very portable. First I am assuming that is the Party. Second, how well does it cook and hold temp with sand in place of water. Or is there a way to make the Party a auto water unit. Thanks in advance.

I routinely get 8+ hours on my BWS Party.

I have a DigiQii and load the coal basket up before calling it a night.

I've never tried cooking with sand.

Auto water: I suspect if you had a permanent water pan you could rig something up. I've just never found it to be an issue since I get 8 hours of cook time on mine.

Portability of the BWS Party? Yes. It is portable. I use a hand-truck.
