New Fatboy

Just completed my first smoke with my new Fatboy and I am here to say I loved it. Highly efficient, my spares were done in under 4 hours at 225. Great smoky taste. Temperature control was a breeze. I am new to smoking and this is my first smoker. Questioned whether I should "learn" first on some of the lower cost models. My research implied that many of the things you had to learn on those models was how to deal with their design shortcomings. So I decided why not pay more and not have to learn how to deal with problems because they don't exist on Backwoods models. I am patting myself on the back for that decision and the Fatboy was the perfect size for me.

Welcome to the forum. Search is your friend here. As a primer search for "Old Dave" posts there is a tremendous amount of info there.
