Checking in from SW FL. Just picked up a new Party this week. Haven't even had a chance to do my first burn to season it. Maybe this weekend. I have been reading old posts for the past few days. Lots of good info. I'm excited.

Congratulations on the Party! I think it is one of the best models the BWS makes.

Congratulations on your new Party BWS.
If you did not get casters please do so. Habour Frieght sells 5" casters that will fit your Party.
You can use any fuel you like, but I have found The Kingsford Competion is really great.
It will work with or without the Guru or Stoker, it is just a fabulous smoker.
Enjoy your new Toy!

Thanks for the welcome guys!! I did manage to season the cooker this past weekend. Appreicate the heads up on the castors Ronnie. I plan to go by Harbor Freight one day this week. Talked with Kathy at BWS today and ordered a cover. Hopefully, the first cook will be this weekend.

Did you get a heat diverter in it? That is one of the options that should be standard on the smokers.

Yes I did Rick. I did quite a bit of research and, everywhere I turned, people said get the diverter, I have wondered why BWS doesn't just make it standard. I thought about the guru adapter since I already have one I use on my other cooker but decided to go a while and see how well it holds the temp before making that investment.
