French Baugettes

Tried this for the first time today. They turned out great! I also cooked a brisket but forgot to get pics of it. Brisket was good but I my store had was a flat. I think the packer works better but the flat wasn't bad. The recipe for the bread can be found here. http://allrecipes.com//Recipe/french-ba ... ail.aspxnd

All right we need more information; how hot?, with smoking wood?, just charcoal?, lump or briquette?yadayadayada...you get the idea. :D

p.s. The link didn't work, I think there are parts of it missing. Don't think the 3 dots should be in the middle of the URL. Was this the link? http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/French-Bag ... etail.aspx
Never mind about the 3 dots, it's just the way the forum shortens the link, it sees the entire URL when you click on it.

Ok....more info. I cooked the brisket first. While the brisket finished up I made the bread dough in my bread machine. While the dough was resting I took the brisket off and foiled it and put it in a cooler to rest. Then I drained the water from the smoker, added some more lump and cranked the heat up to 375. Then I baked the bread on a stone for 25 minutes.

BTW...thanks Rick for fixing the link. Yes that is the right one. Also I did not use any smoke...just the lump. You could just get a hint of smoke when you ate the bread. The bread was really easy and very good!

Thanks for the info, I'm going to have try it. I've never done bread before.
