Who wants to sell me a cooker?

Postby EDoubleNickels » Sun May 23, 2010 3:13 pm

I am looking to purchase a chubby - either new or slightly used. It doesn't look like there are any dealers within 150 miles of my house, so it looks like I am searching for the best deal including shipping price (unless someone has one for sale nearby). My zip code is 43065 for calculating costs. Thanks all!

I would also consider a fatboy at the right price, if somebody has one nearby.

Thanks!

Thanks Jamie, I appreciate it. If I wind up driving to pick it up you are the closest dealer. But by the time I pay for gas, wear-and-tear, etc. to make the 450 mile trip I am not sure how much I would really save. I like the fact that you have the one I want in stock and I am still considering it. Thanks for the response.

Special thanks to Ken at the Charcoal Store! He had the one I wanted in stock and arranged shipping for $175. Not only that, but I ordered it yesterday and it is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow!

Will do. I was planning to season it a little tomorrow and then maybe make some scotch eggs Saturday morning if all goes well. Do most people use peanut oil to season? Or crisco? Or ??

I will now have all the cooking devices for my outdoor kitchen on site, which I am sure is a big mistake. The stonework on this thing is never going to get finished!
