Fatboy for sale

Postby mjl » Wed Apr 08, 2009 5:13 pm

Looking to go bigger in 2009 so I am selling my Fatboy. Cooker has castors, and non-removable water pan with "hide setter" feature. Also include is BBQ Guru Competitor draft control system w/10 cfm fan, and new stainless braided temp probes for meat and cooker. The Guru mounting hardware is also included with the cooker. The exterior of the cooker has a few dings and scrapes, to be expected with hauling it around to contests. Otherwise, it is clean, and ready to be enjoyed.
Located in Madison, Wisconsin.
Priced at $1175
I can be reached at mlahm@charter.net
Thanks

How old is the Fatboy? I just sold my Piglet to go a little smaller this year and I miss my old Fatboy.

It's an internal chimney that runs through the permanent water pan and allows for direct heat on meat. Some folks like to brown their skins on whole shoulders.

With a removeable water pan, all you do is remove the water pan. With a permanent water pan, you can't really "grill" over direct, high heat unless you have a hide setter. FWIW, there is a valve that allows you to open and close the hide setter.

Glad you found a good home. Sorry about the email problems sending pics, Comcast has been giving me fits with bounced mail.
